The on-board bill of lading is a document that certifies that the goods have been received in good condition from the seller (or a named shipper or consignor) and have been taken on board the truck, ship, or vessel on the Incoterms 2020 – FCA and the on-board bill of lading. The Incoterms 2020 revision contains this further optional provision for Free Carrier (FCA). The parties can agree that the buyer – at their own cost and risk – will instruct the carrier to issue a transport document to the seller, stating that the goods have been loaded on-board.
